DESCRIPTION: Colourless crystals; (tech. is a white powder with slightcharacteristic smell). in water ¢ò 2.1, ¢ô 1.2 (both in Pa m3 mol-1, 20¡æ). In dichloromethane and toluene, both pairs>200g/l (20¡æ). (¢ò) in hexane 2-5, isopropanol 5-10 ( both in g/l, 20¡æ). (¢ô) in hexane 1-2, isopropanol 2-5 (both in g/l, 20 ¡æ).

TOXICITY: Acute oral LD50 for rats c. 500mg/kg (inpolyethyleneglycol),c. 270 mg/kg (xylene), c. 15mg/kg (cremophor/water); for mice c. 140 mg/kg. Acute percutaneous LD50 (24h) for rats>5000 mg/kg. No irritation to skin and slight primary irritation to the eye (rabbits). Inhalation LC50 (4h) for rats c. 0.1 mg/l (aerosol), 0.53 mg/l (dust). NOEL (90d) for rats 125, dogs 60 mg/kg diet. ADI 0.02 mg/kg b.w.

MODE OF ACTION:  Non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action.Acts on the nervous system, with rapid knockdown and long residual activity.

USE: Insecticide effective against Lepidoptera, Coleoperta andHomoptera on cotton, fruit, vegetables, cereals and other crops, at 7.5-20g /ha. Also against migratory locusts and grasshoppers; and in animal health.
